This week I needed a root canal. Everyone has heard horror stories of how painful this procedure is. Well, I have to say that Northern Colorado Endodontics staff, all I met, are so good at what they do! All were professional, understanding, knowledgeable and are passionate about what they do. I had no pain during the procedure and recovery was rapid for me. I highly recommend them if you’ve been told you need this kind of work done.

I have extreme anxiety about coming to the dentist and was petrified about the thought of getting my first root canal. Dr. Galen Geraets Did my root canal, and Maddy assisted. They gave me a blanket and I was able to use my anti-anxiety medication through it all which was extremely helpful. Maddy and I kept chatting about things like our dogs which helped my anxiety too. My tip for those who need work done, is to tell everyone you come into contact with that you're anxious and mention which parts are scariest. Also make sure to tell them if anything hurts and they will stop what they are doing to get some more numbing medication. This could be a me problem because dental numbing doesn't often work for long enough, so I had to have multiple "re-ups" but they were cool about it and got the pain under control right away. I kept my eyes closed through the whole procedure and my husband rubbed my foot to give me something else to think about. It felt like it took no time and we were done. Very skilled and efficient practice and everyone we met was very friendly and accommodating. So grateful to have found this practice and specifically Dr Geraets to keep in my back pocket in case I ever need a root canal again. Thanks so much Northern Colorado Endodontics to make such a scary procedure into no big deal. 🖤

This place is the best for root canals for anxious AuDHD patients. They aren't stingy about numbing injections and they go slow so it doesn't hurt as much. They tell you about whatever they're doing before hand, they give you a blanket to be more comfy, and there was no pain while he was working. Numbing wears off quickly for me, so I needed a couple of additional injections, one being inside my tooth and they al helps immediately. I normally cry after appointments like this, but it was so comfortable that I didn't. Beautiful office as well. I would recommend that they put up a "tour of the office" on their website for anxious patients to feel more prepared for what they are walking into. Only other recommendation is to position the tvs to where the parent can see it when they are laying back and getting work done. It was at an angle I couldn't see at all so I just kept my eyes closed, but my ADHD could have definitely used watching TV during the appointment so I wasn't soo bored and crawling out of my skin.All around I think this practice is to be trusted if you are anxious, especially Dr Geraets and Maddy because they were both so kind.

Just had a root canal done there and it went amazing. The nurses are awesome and really make sure you are comfortable before the procedure. The procedure went by extremely fast and both the doctor and nurse tended to me when I needed more numbing. Would highly recommend this place for anything root canal related!

I was a little nervous about my root canal, I have a small mouth and getting work done leaves me leaving with a headache. But their team was awesome they were quick in their procedure, they put a guard in my mouth to keep it open with no strain on my jaw and defiantly know what they were doing. I was in a lot of discomfort and very glad when I called on a Friday morning that they could offer me an appointment that morning.
